KRONAN Original Swedish Punsch is a rum liqueur with deep historical roots. Officially recognized by King Adolf Fredrik in 1758 and awarded Protected Geographical Indication (GI) status by the EU in 2006, it embodies centuries of craftsmanship. At its heart lies the rare Batavia Arrack, a double-distilled rum from Indonesian sugarcane molasses, first introduced to Sweden in 1733. This complex rum liqueur is skillfully blended with Port Mourant Rum from Guyana and bold Jamaican rum, creating a timeless spirit with remarkable depth and perfect balance.

KRONAN – SWEDISH punsch limited edition 2024 30% ABV

A tribute to heritage and innovation, KRONAN 2024 Limited Edition offers a truly exclusive experience. The rums, aged in new 220-liter Swedish oak barrels for 1 year, give this rare expression of Swedish Punsch delicate notes of vanilla, warm spices, and subtle oak, adding outstanding complexity and depth. KRONAN – Rum 46% ABV

KRONAN Rum is a masterful blend of Batavia Arrack (55%), Guyanese rum (30%) from the legendary Port Mourant greenwood stills, and Jamaican pot-still rum (15%)—the base of KRONAN Swedish Punsch.

Batavia Arrack delivers earthy spices, dried fruit, and subtle smokiness, while Guyanese rum adds rich molasses, dark chocolate, and warm spices. Jamaican rum completes the profile with vibrant esters and tropical fruit notes.

Finished in Swedish oak casks, it gains elegant tannins, toasted vanilla, and refined spice. A complex, full-bodied rum, ideal for sipping or classic cocktails.

KRONAN – Batavia Arrack 52% ABV

Batavia Arrack, a rum with roots in 17th-century Java, is the heart of Swedish Punsch and KRONAN, a central part of Swedish drinking culture since 1733. Fermented in open vats, made from sugarcane molasses and local red rice, combined with wild yeast, it develops a unique character.

It is then double-distilled in traditional pot stills, resulting in a rum with tropical spices, fruity notes, smokiness, and distinct funk. After distillation, it is often aged in large 10,000-liter teak vats for one year, further enhancing its complexity and depth of flavor.
